JOSHUA VYSKOCIL
Mr. Vyskocil enjoys teaching music to children of all ages. He is blessed to have the opportunity to do so at Sacred Heart School teaching grades PreK-8. Mr. Vyskocil received both his Bachelor's degree in music theory/composition and Master's degree in music education from McDaniel College in Westminster. He also teaches music to grades K-6 at St. John The Baptist School in New Freedom and music to grades K-8 and directs the school choir at Resurrection Catholic School in Lancaster. He is a graduate of Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown where he also serves as a marching band percussion instructor. Mr. Vyskocil is an active composer and performer with the Lyric Band of Hanover, the Hanover Lancers Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps, the Hanover Symphony Orchestra, the Littlestown Area Municipal Band and the Gettysburg Civic Chorus. He plays percussion, guitar, bass guitar and woodwinds. He also cantors and sings with his church choir at St. Joseph's in Hanover and he resides in Glenville, York County.
Mr. Vyskocil believes in the benefits of music in education and that participating in music can help a child become successful in other school subjects and in life.
